Miracle Messages is an award-winning 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving across the United States that helps people experiencing homelessness rebuild their social support systems and financial security, primarily through family reunification services, a phone buddy program, and basic income pilots. In writing this song The Dumi Lama channeled Michael Jackson by asking himself what message Michael would have for the world in its current state of affairs.
The Verses:
For the verses The Dumi Lama picked some themes that he thought Michael would be interested in, and dedicated four bars of each verse to each theme. With two verses at 16 bars each, that gave him 8 themes. The themes were:

The chorus:
As simple as the chorus for this song is, the moment that inspired it was magical.
The lyrics ‘Still works and it’s free’ which can be heard in the chorus and the hook of the song are inspired by a little post-it note that The Dumi Lama saw in his lobby one day.
It was on an abandoned box and the note read: ‘Free. Still works.’
Unfortunately, The Dumi Lama wasn’t interested in what was in the box. But it got him thinking, what should be free and still work?
The answer came to him immediately. The answer was love.
The Bridge:
After the chorus, the bridge picks up inspiration from The Dumi Lama’s father Dumi Maraire’s song ‘Kutambarara’ where the senior Dumi sang about the wars that plagued Africa in the 1970’s and 80’s.
This song incorporates the distinct ‘No, no, no’ ad-libs first heard in ‘Kutambara’, and in ‘Love Heals The World’ the message is directed at all leaders of the world, specifically those with nuclear capabilities.
‘Love Heals The World’ also uses the same ‘Haiwa’ chant that can be heard on ‘Kutambarara’.
